The Thirst Trap

Bible Verses: John 19:28 & Genesis 1:1-10

Explore how to quench the thirst of the world through what you create and how you create it.

Our innate power lies in us being creators and not consumers. Anything that you are going to birth into the world comes through the womb of the mind. The integrity of what you create is always telling of the kind of  principles and processes that you honoured. And so taking the time to understand the principles and processes of creation will serve you as you move through the complexities of life.

The same way we know that no seed planted in dry land and not given water and nutrients will grow, is the same way the potentiality that exists within you needs will not be realized unless you go through the stages of maturation for you to have the manifestation of who you are called to be. Going through the stages of maturation where you are planted, watered and then you experience growth, is a process that is essential for who you will become and what you will do that will cause you to be fruitful in this lifetime. Many try to cut the process short and to an untrained eye you might get away with this, but for the people in the rooms you need to be in this will be picked up. In the end, it will always serve you to breed an attitude of patience as you go through life.

Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.
— John 19:28 (NIV)

Core lesson

To live a higher dimensional life of abundance and have a life that God predestined for you, it is worth taking the time to learn and apply the principles of creation in your life, so that you can go out into the world and  serve people with new ideas and a new way of doing things. Living a life of abundance is birthed from these principles and if they are not honoured, we become limited in our thinking and stagnant in our efforts at building a meaningful life. As such, for us to have the ability to cause something to come from nothing we need:

  • Water: Which is the word of God. It needs to be the foundation from which you operate and live your life. The process of maturation of the seeds (anointing and skills) that are within you will also need the word to be put to effective use.

  • The breath of life: Which is the presence of the Holy Spirit. This helps you navigate life with discernment and wisdom and make decisions that align with your higher sense of Self.

What can you integrate into your daily life?

Know the season you are in

Ask yourself the question around the season which you are in and what growth process can you consciously put yourself through.

Go through the process of maturation

Which seeds/ideas of yours need to go through a process of maturation before they can be exposed to the world? How can you consciously hold a space for yourself to be patient during this process?

I'd love to know your thoughts and what you are working on in the comments.

With love,
